About Us

Urban Tree Farm is the largest retail nursery in Northern California, sitting on about 20 acres of land in Sonoma County. We are located in the town of Fulton west of Highway 101 just north of Santa Rosa’s city limits!

Stan Bradbury first opened the nursery in Larkfield in the early 1970’s on his parents’ land. In 1992 Stan and Ruthie opened the current Fulton Road location to better accommodate the growing business! 30+ years later and we are still thriving in the same location!

In 1997 their grandson Travis Woodard began working at the tree farm and by 2000 he became the general manager – a position he still holds today!

We are a family-owned retail nursery with very competitive pricing. Landscape professionals and homeowners alike are welcome to shop with us! We even offer delivery to Sonoma County and surrounding areas!

We offer classic landscaping plants including trees, shrubs, fruit, vines, ornamental grasses, and perennials. We also have a selection of products to help ensure the success of your plantings such as tree stakes, tree ties, gopher baskets, soil and mulch by the bag, fertilizers, pest control, and more!

Our plants are a mix of crops grown in house and brokered in from our vendors. Something you’re interested in and you don’t see it in stock? We can always check to see if it’s something our vendors have available as a special order!

New to the tree farm? We encourage both exploration and preparation!

You’re free to wander the grounds and check out the various plant container sizes, varietals, and foliage types to get a sense of what you like and don’t like!

Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Email ahead of time and streamline your order! We can check and confirm availability of plants, put plants on hold so they are ready to go, place special orders for plants we don’t have in stock if available, and offer some suggestions if you have an idea of what you’re looking for but just aren’t quite sure what it is!

Our website also offers recommendation lists, plant descriptions, maps of the tree farm, and availability lists that are updated almost every day!
