Description

Deciduous shrub. Narrowly upright habit of growth with showy white flowers in spring followed by edible berries, and brilliant fall color. Covered in clusters of white flowers rising above the foliage in early spring before the leaves. It has green foliage throughout the season. The oval leaves turn scarlet in the fall. It produces black berries in late spring, which are excellent for cooking and baking and making jams and jellies. Will make more berries with multiple plants in the area.
