Description
Deciduous perennial. Foliage forms a neat mound of lance-shaped, gray-green leaves. Large, 3-4in wide, burgundy red blossoms with yellow edging appear in summer and into fall. Remove spent flowers to encourage new blooms. Low to moderate water needs in well-drained soil once established. Hardy to 0°F and below.
