Leontopodium alpinium ‘Blossom of Snow’

Deciduous perennial. Narrow, silver-green leaves line the upright flowering stems forming a tight bushy plant. Delicate star shaped creamy white flowers bloom in clusters at ends of long stems. This improved hybrid blooms twice a year – early summer and again in fall. Good cut flowers. Requires excellent drainage making it a great candidate for rock gardens and containers. As an Alpine Native it is hardy to well below freezing. Although somewhat short lived, it makes up for it with profuse flowering and easy care [prune after flowering] Moderate water needs once established.
