Deciduous perennial. Very low-growing with dark green purple tinged heart shaped foliage and small, pansy-like, purple flowers. Blooms in spring. Attracts butterflies. Deer resistant. Moderate to low water needs once established. Adapts to a variety of soil conditions. Hardy to 0°F and below.
